If you have seen a marketing or copywriting portfolio before, this is usually where the writer states that they, “have always loved storytelling,” or, “it was always my dream to write.”

Sorry, that’s not my story. Truth is, I sort of fell into this on accident.

I didn’t really think about writing until my senior year of college. I was a marketing major looking to jump into analytics. Things changed, however, after starting a creative advertising class I had chosen as an elective.

There, I met a classmate who worked on AdThing, the advertising internship based out of the school. Wanting to expand my horizons, I applied for the copywriter role.

Turns out, I love writing, and I’m really good at it!

From there, I began working to improve my writing/grammar skills in a business setting. I graduated with my degree in marketing and have now worked for companies in a wide variety of industries with a focus in healthcare.
